HALF EMPTY AND HALF FULL GLASS OF JUSTICE  IN POLITICS?
Anyone troubled to keep abreast with Kenya's politics is aware of the current situation facing the crowd favorites namely ; Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto. They are putting in a relentless battle with a bid to survive the political grinder whose teeth have been sharpened with a justice file wielded by the ICC. They illuminate the common saying 'against all odds.' However I would like to call your attention to moral issue concerning the whole process.
Correction looses it mean and purpose if it is partial. The cases at the Hague should be way more than four. Punishing four people for a wrong that has manifested itself in Kenya as far back as since independence is suspicious and questionable.That is simply budding a tree so that it can stretch and grow outwards. Kenya is in the calm before the storm and I do not want to be a prophet of doom and I stand to be corrected because in my opinion, the worst is still to come.
It is important to note that the parties who were aggrieved in the post poll chaos did not specifically see the parties whose trials are in Hague. As far as mob psychology and influence goes, then going by the definition of who an adult may be, Kenya seems to have an alarmingly high number of children. The inability of the masses that were taking part in the whole mayhem to discern for themselves is appalling.
It is my sincere hope that after the chaos, the church did go back to the drawing board. It was viewed as a victim but if it had done its duties diligently, the results  would have been different.
The chaos also reflected on the poor and deplorable state of the education in Kenya for anyone who cared to look beyond the violence. The hooliganism portrayed was nothing that can be attributed to refined academicians who have been in the enclosures of a classroom. The dependence of one a group of people on one persons mind goes against the power of reasoning.
It is not fair to punish one just because someone listened to my view or was so empathetic to a gruesome situation that befell me and did something that is illegal. The way the matter is being handled is personal and it is very far from the pursuit of justice.
